System Engineering

A system is constantly interacting with its surroundings

About Vulkan Engineering

Despite only being founded in 2016, Vulkan Engineering is already able to look back on over 20 years of experience in the field of developing and implementing automation solutions. Due to the strong demand for innovative solutions to produce both conventional batteries and lithium-ion batteries, Vulkan Technic GmbH made the decision at the end of 2015 to combine all of the activities in this area under the name of Vulkan Engineering. The synergies that are achieved through this organisational restructuring are of great benefit to both our customers and our development partners.

Together with our parent company, Vulkan Technic, we are in an excellent position to meet the global challenges of the battery sector. Our services do not end with the presentation of the concept. Our mantra for every project is: If you want it, then we will implement it for you! So you can be sure that our content can also be put into practice.

If you’re looking for customised, innovative solutions and concepts, then you have come to the right place.

System Engineering

A system is constantly interacting with its surroundings – this means that with us, system engineering does not end at the physical limits of the product. We develop solutions with an interdisciplinary focus and see ourselves as part of a full, overarching system.

Concept Development

In the concept development stage, the technical constraints for new production processes, modules or components are examined. We draw up comparisons between different options, as well as benchmarks and concept designs for individual processes or entire production ranges. This is how we turn our clients’ ideas into viable concepts.

Developing Measuring Equipment

Battery systems usually consist of hundreds of individual, interconnected cells. It is therefore very important to design an efficient process input test in order to identify defective cells before they are put together. Various testing processes are also investigated with regards to their suitability and developed, such as thermal, electric or combined tests.

Constructing Special Machines

With the help of the expert team at Vulkan Technic, we ensure that the concepts formulated in advance are implemented in the construction and work plans efficiently and in a targeted manner. The system is also configured at Vulkan Technic’s site in Wiesbaum.

Building Prototypes

Along with desired increase in performance, new technologies also come with a high technical risk. Upon request, we can construct prototype systems for you in order to verify the production capability of a new technology. This is also considered a part of our consultancy service.
